... we went to my parents. They totally got him smashed after 1 beer.
The jetlag in combination with a tripel Karmeliet wasn't the best combination.

So after a good meal and some beer, we drove back to Antwerp.

Skiwi fell asleep in the car :) luckily I could keep my eyes open :)

We arrived safely back in our little nest, and finally fell asleep in each others arms again...
...

Even na half 7 (joehoe, vroeger dan verwacht!!) landen we veilig en wel in Zaventem. Even buiten kijken en jawel, de vettrouwde regen is ook van de partij :( Die heb ik niet gemist, zunne ;)
Meteen ma en pa gebeld en ze waren ook al in de luchthaven.
Van boord gegaan, valiezen gaan opzoeken.... Hier moesten we nog wat geduld oefenen...
Daarna vlug afscheid genomen en naar buiten :)
Na wat gewroet alles in de auto gekregen en ...

... eindbestemming Hanoi. Het tijdsverschil in Hanoi bedraagt 5u en met een vliegreis van 11 uren komen we woensdagochtend 11 augustus om 06u35 aan in Hanoi. In België is het op dat moment dus nog maar half 2 in de nacht.. Slaap dus gerust allen nog een beetje verder...

We hopen dat eens we daar ter plekke zijn onze "taxi" ons komt oppikken voor een helse rit richting centrum. ...

... best train rides as we talked for almost 3 hours :) More people to learn from and add to my book! (I had been keeping a journal of all the people I'd met throughout the trip).

I was exhausted when I got to Brussels (which is very ugly btw) but met two of my roommates (rising seniors from IU) and I convinced them to go to dinner that night...what a great decision! Ugh, Brussels may be ugly but it has some of the best food of the entire trip! The Belgian ...

D-Day

... if he was even going to make it, even though he took an earlier train.

When they called "final boarding" I was forced to board, but naturally not before my luggage was checked again (like "can you open your bags sir") and I was frisked.

Thank god, right when I was about to enter the plane, Sven was there too. He told me that he managed to get to the ticket counter about 1 minute before it closed.

So we made it, about to take off... Nice beginning!
