      ... and taking in the view. They called us over and invited us to join them for some BBQ Tiger prawns. What a world of difference and generosity from the locals. Unbelievable. So as it would be rude to refuse we sat down and shared some prawns cooked over a rough log fire with a lime and chilli dip. It was delicious.       The rest of the night was spent huddled under the shower weeping while scraping our tainted skin off.

      Actually the rest of the night involved a “20 minute” walk to dinner. Lauren navigated. I SWEAR TO YOU THAT THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME. 35 minutes later we had made it half way to our destination and gave up. We turned around and after running into a few closed restaurants (due to Tet) eventually found a decent place to eat. Which we did. Then slept ...

      ... turned back where we dipped our feet into some very warm sinking sand and climbed one of the vertical beaches to get great views of the Fairy Stream and the coast. I really liked it here.

      Our next stop was the fishermans village of Mui Ne. On the way we saw villagers drying tiny fish on green netting at the side of the road which we had read was used to make fish sauce. It really smelt! We couldn't find the harbour down any of the cute little roads which reminded us ...

      ... hair. They are also culprits of thinking they are models, and pose 'sexily' in the water for their balding husbands with mustaches. The 'buzzing beach bars' were also comical, empty but with blaring Vietnamese rap playing, and the so-called fire show was performed by the waiter who had a quick break from serving noodles to prance about with a candle.
