The room was ok and 12 dollars is not expensive, what was overpriced was the train tickets we bought from them!!! They overcharged us 10 dollars for the tickets because they had to pick them up from Danang and they charged 10 dollars for each ticket even though they picked them up at the same time, on the same ride, for the same buyer. The agencies just outside the hotel didn't even charge a fee and there was no authority to complain to!

Situated in the centre of Hoi An historic city centre, this small hotel offers everything you may need. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the internet is very quick.

Good hotel, good value and they can sort out trips to My Son and bus/train/flights. Food good value too and nice. Central location without being too noisy. Overall 4/5 stars :D

Saigon Beer

Our alarm went off at 6:30am but I was already awake as I had started to feel a little cold due to the very efficient air-conditioning system. We packed our stuff and then went to eat breakfast whilst waiting for the 'Sinh Cafe' bus to pick us up. It was the usual scenario at breakfast as I ordered a banana shake but was served a mango shake which …

We took the night bus from Nha Trang to Hoi An and arrived at a reasonable time in the morning having had a good night's sleep; this was quite a relief after our last hideous night bus adventure from Saigon to Dalat! On our first morning we set out to choose a tailor to get our clothes made; there are literally hundreds of tailor shops in this …

After a bumpy crazy bus ride from Hué we were quite tired when we got to the picturesque city of Hoi An. Arriving there we were approached by a dozen hotel agents calling us to go to their shuttle bus see for free to see their hotel. After checking some hotels on the map we decided to go to one that was near the old city center. Worst case scenario …

We signed up for a half-day cooking class which included a trip to the local market (let by Hip-Hop, our Vietnamese guide), a boat ride, cooking lessons and a delicious meal of Vietnamese cuisine. Oh yeah, we also rented bicycles and found the beach for some relaxation. The first of many more beaches for us in Vietnam.

Our overnight bus journey from Nha Trang was about as good as any bus journey for a 6 ft man in a 5 ft 8 space can be. It would have been a whole lot better if the driver hadn't beeped so much, not sure why he needed to with so little traffic on the nighttime roads in the middle of the night. That was the downfall of the front row seats we got but …
