Day 24 – Über high surf on the North Shore
... Pineapple soft ice was also quite a refreshing surprise. So basically we just visited the tourist shop, cafeteria and tested the world’s biggest maze which was pineapple-shaped. Yey!
We also spent some time on 'our’ beach and in the evening we took a walk in the town centre, had Mexican dinner that especially Onni loved (fish tacos) and listened to some live music in a local bar.

... a cyclist comes up behind us and rings his bell, and happily calls out Happy Thursday to us. This makes me smile so much, as in my head I compare it when we were in LA and cyclist were properly getting crossed with tourists and telling them off for being in the bike line. Breathe the breath of life
... it is owned by the local university and both the Cultural Centre and the university are part of the Latter Day Saints Church. The centre aims educate on Polynesian Culture (the clue was in the name!) and provide jobs for the students. That sounds nice.
