We visited the liquor store for some wine and the drug store for some Advil. Tony has quite the head cold. En route yesterday I think he sneezed all the way through New York State. In order to buy Advil Cold and Sinus in the states you have to sign your life away and show ID times 3, apparently this is because of the Crystal meth problem.

... during its life. It is quiet. Our room opens to a garden, now covered with snow as are the Adirondack chairs on our balcony. We enjoyed our welcome treats, can't beat wine and chocolate.

Meanwhile Parker kept us all constantly entertained with her puppy-zeal for discovery, and the opportunity to learn to climb stairs at breakneck speed. She never did manage to get down the stairs herself though! Sean mixed up some superb dry martinis, having pre-soaked the olives in gin for extra effect! We had just enough snow for the kids to make a snowman. In this pic, Vivi had shed her coat, but Payson had only just put his on; they worked up quite a sweat rolling up all the snow in the whole backyard.
