Sunday morning we drove into Yellowstone National Park and were immediately greeted by a big bison standing in the road. Moving on we stopped at one of the geothermal areas were we saw the Mud Volcano which consisted of plopping steaming mud, and the Dragons Liar which made a big roaring sound as steam and boiling water rushed out of a cavern. Satisfied with our geothermal experience, we drove north ...

Virtues of Tent Cabins & Other Grand Things

... show on the travel channel. There is nothing luxurious about it. Think Army surplus. Two of the four walls are canvas and two are log. All four walls have gaps and opening up to 4 inches. Our first thought was that we will be eaten alive the first night. It's one of the many small miracles of this place, that we have had no mosquitoes in the tent. Our first day we hiked to Hidden Falls and ...

... it, eh? Anyway, Jackson has been nice, and everything in between. Although I found out last night, in a most unpleasant manner, I get altitude sickness. I woke up around 2am with a horrendous throbbing headache. Things are better now, with the help of H2O and few doses of advil, but my head still feels like I have a cold without the cold. Today we are canoing, and most likely, swimming as it is scorching hot. We will post more pictures soon...

We awoke.... after more hippie food we went for our first hike.... or run as amy would put it. Tip...read the signs!!! We headed for two ...
