Sicily was absolutely beautiful! Words cannot describe it and the pictures do it no justice. The first day we saw Monreale just outside of Palermo. It is a beautiful church with gold mosaics. Then we went to Selinunte which has a bunch of Greek temple ruins. Sicily is central in the Mediterranean and was taken over by everyone at some point. ...

San Vito Lo Capo, lovely town although tastefully touristic with fab beaches all around.. Had a lovely walk into the town centre followed by a tasty ice cream, lots here and quite tasteful for a tourist destination but lucky for us it's out of season but still busy enough for a nice atmosphere... We never did find the two fresh fish ...

It was an interesting enough little village to walk around, quite touristy, but so grey compared to other Italian villages that I have seen on the mainland. Erice was also where we got our first parking ticket and ate our worst pizza yet! By now we are pizza experts. On the 1st September not only did the weather cool but the crowds magically disappeared. Shops stopped replacing items on the shelves and the beaches were ...

Około pierwszej ruszyliśmy z Selinunte w dalszą drogę, do oddalonego o 20-30 km miasta Mazara del Vallo.
