... knew the routine, the scams, the border crossings. It felt so easy. Being on my own and venturing into the unknown has a different feeling. New countries, new peoples, new cultures, new ways of thinking. New friends to be made. This time, and as an added bonus, not only do I not understand the languagse I won't even understand the alphabetic script. Scams and scams and borders and borders. The list goes on. Still ...
Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany petcul... to the airport. I woke Jay to tell him that he could stay as long as he likes and that breakfast was prepared in the kitchen. He just had to make sure that he closed the door when he left and that our cat wouldn’t sneak out. I said Goodbye and my mom drove me to the airport.
When she came back she found a Goodbye and Thanks letter on our table. He wrote that he had a blast on the stay in Tangerhütte and that we are one of the nicest family he met.
... mir recht gut.
Magdeburg, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany pacificoceanPacking our stuff and trying to put it into the car we realized, that the car is too small... or do we want to carry to much stuff with us????Could be, but Alex would say that the only person with too much baggage is me. Perhaps he`s right but who knows about the weather the next time? To be prepared for every case I feel confident. Anyway, the car was cramed from the top to the bottom. We left Magdeburg in a very good mood in the afternoon, looking forward to have a great trip.

Magdeburg, Germany die_sunny... to live in Italy. Germany: First actually we were in Austria, where we picked up our rental car and stayed the night. Then the next day we drove into "Deutschland" and spent the night in a cute little town called Mittenwald ( pronounced mittenvald). Then we drove 2 hrs to Lindau,an island on Lake constance, the biggest freshwater lake in Europe. With that as our home ...
Lindau, Germany palimino93... a walk. I showed her around the town I grew
up. The last destination on my tour was the park. Actually that was the best
place to visit in my town. She liked it a lot. We walked along the pond and the
two pavilions (one of these won the first price at the world exposition in
Paris a long time ago). We came across the old castle and the mausoleum and
made a short stop at the artificial waterfall. Ju Yeong made a lot of pictures
and could stop ...
Hallo Ihr Lieben!
Magdeburg, Germany anna_australia... era stark buildings and modern shopping centers. Unfortunately, the economy has not been able to catch up to that of the West, and I hear that there is quite a bit of resentment among the populace. The venue stood in an industrial, run-down part of Magdeburg. It is some sort of a squat, with very cool junk-art covering the interior.
