Today is a bit of a sad day. Not only is it the anniversary of 9-11, it is also our last full day in Filderstadt with the Mauz's. They have been so incredibly welcoming and have shown us the REAL Germany. We will miss them very much. Then there is the not getting lost for 4 days!

I asked our tour guide where we went to get our complimentary Mercedes-Benz but apparently he thought I was kidding! It was an amazing tour. I was fascinated and mesmerized by the robotics. I think I need to get one of those cars for sure.

... inside the glass wall watch fascinated as we rush out into the square. Strange people the English. Torrential rain this evening and night, everything soaked, campsite flooded. The automatic gates on the river open overnight to reduce the water level kept back by small hydro electric barrage. Thank heavens otherwise we really would have been in trouble. Simone and Sven, Ron's daughter and son in law live on in the flat downstairs and have a new bathroom with a large bath!! They very kindly allow me to have a long soak this morning which is heaven, luxurious bubbles from Val. Totally relaxed by the time we leave after a lovely few days of Elliott hospitality.
