      We flew into Mumbai in the early hours of the 30th and got a taxi to the small but perfectly formed Residency Hotel in the old Fort Area. Even with the lack of sleep and the poor light the ride provoked our oft to be repeated phrase "this place is big" - indeed so with some 20 plus million residents.       ... in Mumbai and did not see any of the touristy stuff (Mark says there is not much to explore). Mumbai seems more western than the big cities we visited in the north and there are pavements!! The city seems huge so we are looking forward to returning to Mumbai (we fly from Mumbai to Singapore in February) to explore further .
