    Today we went to Elephanta Island. We took a 1 hour passenger ferry boat. We arrived and walked 250 steps to the cave and they were statues carved into the stone but a lot of them have been destroyed it was still wonderful walking through the 5 caves that are an historical site. The large elephant statue and others have been saved and put into a museum. The ones that Ray remembers seeing 45 years ...

    ... was an interesting mix of British and Indian styles and included a lion and a tiger statue sitting guard at the front for both countries. Once inside the station was sprawling and there were so many people coming to start their work day. I only saw the subway part not the intercity part but according to my guide book, more than two million people move through the station in a daily basis on almost 1000 trains. We can see the cruise birth from our room so we should be able to check that it has berthed before we get up.
