Sights and sounds of Kathmandu

A travel blog entry by bevbag

... lightweight pants and shirts. Spent a whole $40.00 on what would have cost in Brisbane well over $300.00. Before 9.00 I have been offered hash twice. By the end of the day I have lost count. The peddlers are no where near as persistent as they used to be. Generally you say no and they move on. arriving at the station Mark and I were told the bus ...

There was more beggars there and Izzy gave a few coins to a little girl with a horrible skin condition, and Nat gave a few coins to an old man who cheekily said he wanted 10 rupees minimum! Nat asked for the coins back and said he could have nothing then, and the man debated it before scurrying off with the coins still in hand. We are getting a bit fed up with all ...
