    ... Sitia Airport opened. They have some weird opening-hours here , open only if they have commercial Traffic scheduled to arrive which was the case at my arrival time. I choose LGST because there is NOHandling required at this Airport , which can be very costly in Greek. got AVAS from Drums @ $ 16/GAL ouch....     September 15 2010. Another early start, walked to the airport, paid our handling charges (excellent rate for AOPA members of 15 Euros) and then directed to the top of the Control Tower to file the flight plan. Found out that Sitia was closed until 11.30 UTC (14.30 local) and also that they had no Avgas. But Iraklion now had Avgas, so a quick change of plans and off to Iraklion we go. It ...
