... a viewpoint, so had expected something at least mildly strenuous. What we got was a 10 minute stroll to a tower from which you could just about see the Sea of Japan. On the plus side, there was a small bamboo forest that was considerably quieter than the one in Kyoto, albeit with considerably less bamboo too! We also stumbled across a very quaint little temple as we came down from the hill, which was a nice added bonus. From there we took ...

That evening the Swiss director approaches me and before I could apologize he thanks me for staying calm and natural. The Cinema-grade European movie will be about a woman who stays here some time and since the scene was of her departing interview the director felt it was a perfect addition to have a newcomer arrive. ...

... 7 onsen during operating hours, as many times as we want!

I'll admit, we were a bit shy at first and didn't get changed right away. But after 10 minutes or so of walking the town we asked ourselves "What the hell are we paying so much money to be here for??". So back to our room we went, "geared up" so to speak, and clip clop clip clopped to the nearest onsen. After scanning our passes at the front, Cindy and I went to our respective change rooms. It ...
