Himmelblau Palace Blumenau

... I'm thinking ... OKaaayyy? So there are 10 of us guys and were on this school bus ... no seriously, it's a school bus, the bus has "escola" painted on the side of it. An hour into the ride we pick up two more of "the guys" and only then do I finally get it. Muito importante essa viagem, rendeu bons frutos! Pude aproveitar, além do FEMUSC (Festival de Música de Santa Catarina), e fazer uma visita ao Beto Carrero World. O festival começou no dia 21 de janeiro de 2008 e durou duas semanas, cheias de aulas, concertos, estudo, amigos, e diversão, trabalho e música! Infelizmente não vou botar todas as fotos aqui, mas espero fazer isso daqui em diante, nas próximas viagens!

Stopped in a beautiful place called Florianopolis, en route to Carnival. It~s been awesome here... met some wicked people on the bus journey from Uruguay, so decided to share an appartmkent with them for a few days. Fab place right next to the beach... which is packed with people in thongs (and that´s just the guys... )... hmmm, am sure they´ll be more of the same in Rio. No photographs for this entry, as quite frankly, it would have scarred your eyes.

two days in Curitiba ... not a lot of seeing tough ...we went to some cool spots ... but it was a truly annoying day ... maybe there'll be a change of plans .... the family wants to go to uruguay for new year's eve ... but floripa in brazil, just 3 hrs away from here ... is gonna be better ... so i still dont know what i'm gonna do tomorrow ... =)) see ya latta!!!

... vi da ogsaa tilbudt arftersunlotion paa apoteket uden saa meget som at sige et ord... I aften skal vi ud og have en lille foedselsdagsmiddag, og imorgen gaar turen videre mod det store vandfald Iguazú paa graensen mellem Brasillien, Argentina og Paraguay. Signe har ikke lavet andet hele dagen end at hvine af fryd over en lille kolibri vi saa i lime-traeet udenfor vores vindue. Gad vide hvordan det bliver naar vi kommer til amazonas...

... to chill out to some tunes. So we followed the music down the beach to a little bar which we quickly discovered was hosting a gay and lesbian party. Needless to say we had a fabulous time! We danced the night away, made some new friends and realised, much to our dismay, that Brazilians usually wear the colour white out on new years eve! The next day was spent recovering in hammocks and devouring our daily treat, which is a refreshing dish ...

... myself at the only youth hostel in town, sharing a room with 18 sweating backpackers for 34 real. Its called ´Grun Garten´, the cheapest stay in town even at double its off-season price. Setting the new standard in pricey stays, but considering the event, it should all be worth it. Blumenau - They built it to look like the real thing sort of place. ... people who speak some or fluent German. The reason to go to Blumenau for me was twofold. One is I heard much about it and even sa documentaries while in Germany; and second I wanted to understand why so many Germans emmigrated there. Loucura essa trip... Bate-volta totalmente desprogramado, ficamos sem ter onde dormir, e acabamos dormindo num motel cabuloso! uihaiuha mas valeu a pena, foi uma das noites mais engraçadas que ja tive, desde a viagem, até a festa! Só quem ja foi sabe como é! Vale a pena
