... to become a very regular hangout for pretty much all of us on the trip! The had English breakfasts which included bacon (not brilliant but still bacon... the first proper stuff since Georgia) and baked beans. We were happy.

... joy ride ticket which was a 2 hour steam powered return journey to Ghoom.

The Train was only pulling two small carriages and we had seats number 1 & 2 and although they were not next to each other, it meant that we had a great view out of both sides of the train. We immediately met up with a couple from California and started chatting to them all about our mutual Indian experiences.

... 2000. We also visited the Golden Stupa, which houses the ashes of the 16th Karmapa. Work was continuing on repairing damage from September's earthquake.
