... Keys had been pretty lackluster so far. There is really only one main road to drive down and it has been so overly touristized that it wasn’t very pretty. All the nicer areas are only accessible if you pay to get into the parks or stay at the resorts so if you are there on a tight budget it is pretty ordinary. Key West was a bright spot of the Keys. The town felt like we were back in Cape Cod. Still touristy but with a beachier, personal, quirky feeling. ...

Have a long lie and get up, ready and have a donder around. End up going on a city bus tour followed by a boat bay tour. The city bus tour, taking us around Miami, showing us places like little Havana, and mainly where most movies were set. The boat tour was also good, showing us celebrities houses. Incredible houses. Owned by the likes of Shakira, Carmen Electra, ...

The adventure has certainly begun. I am currently on hour 30
of travel with over 6 left to go before I get on the 8 hour flight to the
14,000 foot airport of La Paz. I was trying to prepare for the high altitude by
drinking lots of water, and rest; which rest has clearly been impossible.
Hopefully all the talk about high altitude sickness is really no big deal.

Priceless :-) As we headed back up to Fort Lauderdale we made a final stop in Grassy Key to visit the Turtle Hospital.
