... by a middle aged drunk woman who took us in the wrong direction. As it got dark, we conceded defeat and headed back to the city. We spent a few hours in a pub then decided to catch a midnight bus out there. At 3:30 am on the 5th day of travel, we finally made it to the mountains.

We went through Cisco, a ghost town that died with the steam train. 18-inch pizza at New Castle and bedding down with Mormons at Econolodge. Sunday was a driving day. We crossed the Rockies over independence Pass with ...

On Digger's last day we drove up through the high country north of Jefferson up over Georgia Pass (11,585ft on the Continental Divide) in his 'Lincoln Navigator' hire car - he had to change from his BMW 740 after the sunroof exploded!!!!. Test fired a few weapons......
Very pristine environment above the tree line. Not a good place to be in the middle of winter.....
Beautiful views and the Aspen trees just beginning to change colour as winter approaches....

... at the top of the run, and roll on down the slide to the bottom. If you need to, you can brake to slow down the cart. Ken and Ryan rode by themselves, and Libby and I rode together. She did not want to go too fast, so we rode the brake all the way down the slide! ...
