... in the Drury Hotel here in downtown St. Louis and we're gonna drive over to the arch around 7:30. The security guard downstairs said that Denver is about 13 hours away, which is about how far we drove yesterday, but I think we're gonna stop in Salina in Kansas, which is about 8 hours out.

Stayed one night at this hotel and wished we could have stayed longer. It is a beautiful hotel. The front desk staff and the bell staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are very, very nice.
The only problem was there was not any place to get a reasonable breakfast. We were not up for paying $10 for a waffle at the hotel dining room. They did have free coffee in the lobby which was very nice. We will definitely stay there again.
Enjoyed the Hilton
I really enjoyed my stay at the Hilton St. Louis Downtown. While St. Louis is not the most glamorous of locations, this hotel is top-notch. I had some great meals in the restaurant and my room was VERY clean. I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting St. Louis.
Love the Hilton
We stayed at the Hilton downtown in Febuary, it was a wonderful hotel, beautifully decorated. We had one of the jucuzzi suites. The room was done in all dark colors and looked very rich. The bathroom was huge with a jucuzzi and a big glass shower. Everything in the bathroom was done in marble. The bed was one of the most comfortable I slept in, also had down pillows and comforter. We ate breakfast the next moring (Sunday Buffet), it was very good. We will definitly go back.
Great business hotel
I just spent 5 nights in this hotel; my stay was great. Although it is five minutes' walk from the arch, the hotel does not have any view to speak of, but it is new and spotlessly clean; the decor is simple and elegant. The bathrooms, while not large, are more than adequate, and the size of the rooms is also just fine. There are free high-speed internet and a refrigerator (no minibar) in every room, a great fitness center, and a very nice bar. I did not visit the restaurant. The lobby is beautiful. Housekeeping was also fine. I will definitely stay here again when I visit St. Louis on business.
I just got back from a four-night stay at the Hilton St. Louis Downtown. From start to finish, it was a remarkably good experience. Every single staff member is very friendly and goes out of their way to greet you. The lobby is very nice. The rooms are on the small side, but the beds are wonderful and the bathrooms are great. Marble walls and granite countertops. I also had a minifridge in my room where I could store food. The fitness center is top rate, too. Another perk: you get two free bottles of water in your fridge every day. Very nice touch. The bar can be fun, and the restaurant's food is pretty good. The only downside was the location of my room. It looked out into an alley, which made for a lack of sunlight and noisy mornings (trash trucks). Everything else about the hotel, though, more than made up for a few minutes of noise each morning. I would definitely stay here again, especially if I come to St. Louis again on business.
Loved the lobby, room, staff, and everything else about this place. It is beautiful inside and out. However, the charge for parking is a little steep. I know it is downtown and parking is limited but $15.00 for a night is a bit steep.
I read a couple of other reviews and had some trepedation about staying at this new Hilton. I was glad I ignored the negative reviews. This is a top notch Hilton. Although it was newly opened in May, it is located in a old building. That's all that's old about this hotel. Every person I dealt with at the hotel was extremely courteous and friendly. The rooms are fantastic. Upgraded linens and Pillows. For those of you who are Hilton Honors gold and above, you get a massive bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and walk in shower, plus free breakfast for two. I walked to laclede's landing which isn't too far as well. The other hotel in St. Louis I would recommend is the Westin. Also a great hotel. I loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again.
Great New Hotel
I just completed a week at the St Louis Hilton and was very happy with the hotel. It is new, has a beautiful lobby (it was an old bank), great gym, and a great downtown location. If you are looking for a quite business hotel in downtown St Louis I think this is your best bet. Breakfast buffet was great, lunch was good, but dinner was just OK.
I have to echo the previous review.
My son and I stayed at this property on 28 May. After parking in the very convenient parking garage across the street and entering the beautiful lobby, my first impression was very positive. The hotel is in a stately old bank building. In fact, the gift shop is in the vault. The floors are gleaming marble tile and the lobby area is very nicely decorated. When checking in, I asked if my room was an upgrade due to HHonors Diamond status. The clerk told me that all of the room in the hotel are "executive rooms." Our room was a corner room on the fourth floor facing the street with lots of room, nice high ceilings, and luxurious decor. I was very impressed until...when discarding a piece of paper, I discovered a folded up dirty diaper and an empty water bottle in the waste basket under the desk. I immediately called "guest services" (which is the front desk) and informed the person on the other end of the problem She responded that a person from housekeeping would be up soon. In the meantime, I inspected the room for more residue from previous guests and found hairs in the bathroom sink and a short, curly hair on the surface of the outer double sheeting on the bed. When the housekeeping person arrived, he informed me that he was told to come up to my room because there was "a problem". However, he was not told any specifics so I assumed a managerial role. I showed him what I had found and asked that he please clean our room and change the sheets. My son and I then went downstairs. I stopped at the front desk and asked for a manager. When the front desk manager came out, I told her that I was unhappy about the housekeeping and that I had to provide direction to the housekeeping person to correct the problems. She seemed surprised and asked me what she could do. My response, since I hate to be put in the position of dictating compensation for dissatisfaction as a guest, was that she needed to make sure the problem was corrected. After apologizing for the problem, she then asked if we had eaten dinner (at 5:30). My response was that we planned to sample some local pizza. The manager then responded "Well, why don't you join us for breakfast?". I then realized that she had obliquely offered us dinner... I responded by reminding her that breakfast was included in the room price. She then looked at my guest record on the computer and realized that I was correct. The manager made no further offers and told me that she hoped the rest of our stay would go well. Quite peeved, I told her that I am a "one strike guy" when it comes to hotels and that my good initial impression was diminished by the dirty diaper followed by poor service. When my son and I returned from a walk about an hour later, a person from room service knocked on our door to deliver a basket including bags of potato chips, candy, and soft drinks. There was a note from the general manager stating that he was sorry for our bad experience and that our parking would be complimentary. In other words we went from being offered dinner (I think...) to being offered breakfast (value around $22) to being given free parking (value of $15). But, the bags of potato chips were "Big Grab" sized...
