... was necessary, so we drive to the outlet mall in Carlsbad for the second time. On the way, we stopped for lunch at Swammi's Cafe, a military haircut for Daddy at the barber's next door, and a look at the house (102 Mission Ave) used in Top Gun (again) for the date night.
The mall was a success again, leaving us with worrying thoughts of our luggage being too heavy on the budget flight Daddy booked to Las Vegas tomorrow.....
... the hotel we headed for downtown to the pier to check it out. There were amazing ships and museums. Saw a huge statue depicting a sailor kissing a nurse in jubilation at the announcement of the end of World War Two. There was also a memorial to Bob Hope for his entertainment of the troops during the war. We didn't have time that late in the afternoon to look but would return before we left the area. Found ...
