We left after noon for the 2 1/2 hour drive back to San Diego. Dinner was at the Stone Brewery in Escondito, CA. What a beautiful place with plants and water gardens. The food was fantastic and so was the beer!

... doesn't fill me with joy I have to say. We only stayed a couple of days in San Diego, Kevin spent a whole day visiting The USS Midway aircraft carrier that served in the United States for 47 years and is now a floating "museum". He couldn't get over the sheer size of it, and it has real jets and planes on the flight deck that you can actually go into. He absolutely loved it and was in boy heaven for a day.

It has definitely been a whirlwind being back, as evidence that this blog update is over a week late. With being around people non-stop, getting readjusted to the time zone, weddings, dinners, and hang out time, and heading back to work, I have been having a wonderful time but the time has definitely gotten away from me.
