    So I am checked into my hotel and I have said goodbye to the family and the friends. Excited for the flight tomorrow morning but not looking for the getting up at 5am to check in! Booo I have packed and all my kit looks amazing on the side of the room. ready to get it and get out into the plane and the airport. I am right next to heathrow airport which I am being a massive geek to watch all the planes take off... See you tomorrow ...

    So we have boarded and had fun by getting lost on this A380 and could not find our seats. Not helped by the fact the stewardess sent us the wrong way! Then D realised we are sat next to Jac Naylor who plays a Doctor in Holby City. The Clanger is doing well but then the lovely stewardess dropped the tray of champagne and orange juice over herself and Dawnie! Jac Naylor and nice boyfriend thought it was funny. Everyone now wondering WTF is Jac Naylor!!!!! ...

    The start of my little sojourn... queues, checkpoints and more queues:) To be fair it was painless enough though i had to sacrifice my toothpaste to the security gods. Now I'm through all that plenty of time for overpriced grub, plane and people watching before being stuck in a metal tube for 12 hours :) I may have accidentally upgraded my seat a bit tho, 12 hours is a long time!     ... lost in one or more of the multiple airports I have to navigate myself around.
    -Missing my flight, for any reason.
    -Getting to Cape Town to find out my transfer is not there holding up sign with my name and thus leaving me stranded to panic and convince myself this was a terrible idea.
    -The 24 other people I could possibly be sharing a house with for 4 weeks. They could be anyone!
