Today had some even cooler surgeries going on today. Started the morning with a forequarter amputation of a geriatric feline. This cat had a massive tumor on the underside of its scapula so we had to completely remove the one limb. It was great being able to scrub in and see first year anatomy actually pay off! It was also a good chance to practice scrubbing in a gowning up properly. Next we had an exploratory laparotomy where we took biopsies of various organs. ...
