Today is Dylan's birthday, he is turning 9 and wanted to go to the zoo. We arrived at 10am and were there till 6pm. We all thoroughly enjoyed walking around and seeing the animals. It was strange seeing Australian animals like the red kangaroo and koalas. The highlight of the day was seeing the pandas, polar bears and a baby gorilla born Boxing Day. The zoo was amazing and incredibility clean and well organised. We caught a bus called a Kangaroo hop on hop off bus after lunch as it ...

... to check out, so we drive there and check it out. However it’s just a huge recreational park, with tennis cours, a public swimming pool (that was emptied out), running tracks, golf course, disc golf courses, etc. It was a cool park in the city, however we weren’t feeling entirely enthusiastic to make use of the facilities so we head off into the heart of the city. We drive through the Gaslamp Quarter, which is full of oldcshool buildings and is quite a ...

We had tons of fun at legoland with Auntie Kim and Uncle Jeff as well as cousins Kai and Tristan. They all helped tire those kiddos out in front of the big overnight flight. We didn't even get around to everything in legoland which means we will need to go back some day. Sad we missed out on the fried green apples but we had to beat the traffic to LAX. Traffic wasn't bad and we got ...

... Highway, LA bound once again. Less exciting was getting stuck in the infamous LA traffic for a couple of hours, but by the evening all was forgotten as we made it to the hotel and all caught up. Taking the car back in the evening was a sad affair, saying goodbye to the beast after nearly 4000 miles!

The four of us decided to get straight into the action and the following day was spent at Disneyland, which was incredible! The day was jam packed, with the first ride ...
