Started our road trip today. We drove out of Dallas towards Jackson, Mississippi stopping along the way for lunch at Catfish Village that serves tradition southern food. We had more than our fill of deep fried EVERYTHING.

We (especially Grant) are really hoping for Bagel Toppers for breakfast tomorrow. The Hampton breakfast options are generally pretty good (though definitely not the cooked to order options at Hilton Garden Inn), but the Bagel Toppers are always the preferred ...

... is 3 months into being 7 and Disney, to me, is nothing but an international human zoo that I would love to eternally avoid. What better trip to plan in its place than a camper drive to the least person per square mile state in the lower 48 of America. I am glad the family went for it. No Disney this year makes Daddy a happy camper. I wonder what I will pull off next year to nix Disney ...
