Weather is a broken record, cloudy with a threat of rain. About an 80% threat of rain this afternoon. So we made plans for the morning.

First, we go downtown to Bayou Bend Collections and Gardens. It was the home of the daughter and sons of the first Texas native governor. His last name was Hogg. The sons were Michael, William, and James. The daughter was given a family name, Ima. Our guide on the tour ...

I am now fully cemented in Nicola’s mind as her clumsy cousin now ...

I told myself that it was the air conditioner or something but it was coming straight from the couch in our room and every time I would look over to the couch it would stop. I don’t believe in that stuff but seriously, our hotel/room might have been haunted. So for more reasons than one, I was ready to ...

... have a Mexican meal - the Tex-Mex you hear about all the time! As seems to be the usual, once seated you are served a couple of baskets of corn chips and guacamole, salsa and/or chilli bean dip. As the kids were quick to notice, by the time your order arrives you're no longer starving hungry as you've snacked on chips and dip and then you can't finish your meal! Mason had beef fajita as did Sam, I went for chicken fajita and Jo and Matt had chicken nachos. Mase ...
