Yesterday, I tried to fix my stay at a guest ranch in the Texas Hill Country. However, the ranch of my choice is closed for a week due to a family wedding. I have checked for alternatives, but I either do not like the ranch or it is way too expensive. Therefore, I will jump on a horse in New Mexico or Arizona. Naturewise I will like those states better anyways.
So, this forenoon I will hop in a bus to San Antonio. Jan 29th in the evening, I will fly to El Paso.
Oh my goodness! What a night! 8 girls in 1 room coming and going at any time of the night. Making loud noises, putting the light on, snorring crazy, clogging the toilet, jumping around in the upper bunk, very limited respect. Under these circumstances I had my difficulties catching sleep. Am I getting too old for a dorm?

Feels weird. Feels like I am going home yet I haven't been to this place for many many years. The day is breaking and I have just had my first fix of caffeine for the morning - everything is good. We have traversed the city half a dozen times in our rental car (on the wrong side of road)sorting out bank accounts and buying an R.V a lot of things went wrong with the bank calling us back across town into the traffic with our kids ...
