Our trusty, reliable friend Pat was so nice to drive us to the airport in Sacramento for our midnight flight. There were funny stories along the ride, some catching up as well as planning our new found love of dancing that she is starting to share with us on Wednesday nights. There were a few almost wrong turns, a bit of shouting from the back seat …

Monday we made the long 8 hour drive from Memphis to Pensacola beach, fl. We crossed through Mississippi, and Alabama from Tennessee in route to Florida. Let me tell you the extra long drive was well worth it! We both felt relief as soon as we got here and could smell the salt air and see the beach. It was incredibly hot in Memphis mid 90s and as …

On Friday we were "splashed", which means we are back in the water. After two weeks of repairs and maintenance in the boat yard, this was a welcome relief. We spent yesterday cleaning the boat and left early this morning heading across Mobile Bay on a beautiful Sunday morning. After hearing how rough the bay could be, we were so happy to have smooth water, practically no wind and 70 ...

This was our first experience following chimps in the wild. We had some experiences where the chimp was relatively still and facing us. In those cases, we could see them clearly and remember their features. Primus and Alofu are most memorable to me.

... First, the trip was a wonderful success. We owe that success to Bill Given at The Wild Source who advised us on how to achieve our remote safari goals, and, to Shannon Gore at the Wild Source who implemented our plans. Bill pointed us to the specific national parks and proper time of year to achieve maximum results. Our next goal is to be on a safari Bill leads;

    Great hotel

    from anonymous

Wow - great place! Stayed for 2 nights the week of July 13th. A little expensive but in my opinion worth the money. Very convenient. Spotless rooms and grounds. This is obviously a very new hotel with great managements. Would definately stay there again.

    Business or pleasure

    from anonymous

This hotel is great for business or pleasure. I was there for a small conference (200 people). The meeting rooms are just right for that number but couldn't handle much larger groups. The catering was good and the hotel amenities are excellent. Wonderful location right on the beach.

Everything - Right where you need it!

    from anonymous

EVERYTHING - RIGHT WHERE YOU NEED IT! Don't let the "Garden Inn" fool you ... this place is everything a full-service HILTON is! From the Grand Atrium entrance and lobby allowing a most picturesque view of the Gulf of Mexico through the glass walls, to the outstanding food and beverage (especially the Potato Crusted Grouper - H2O Restaurant --- YUM!) - this hotel is first class! Outdoor fantasy pools and whirlpool - incorporating a childrens' waterpark splash pool - makes a fun-filled day for the entire family! Their indoor heated pool and sauna are just what you need after a long day of traveling ... speaking of traveling - this hotel features both a business center (WIRELESS internet everywhere!) and fitness center! There's even an arcade - and Children's Program. Don't forget to eat at their poolside and beachfront bar and grill - Latitudes (where bartenders serve the best Kobe burgers and po' boys around - with a smile!)! And that's not all - imagine discovering a 'bonsai' - (Sushi Bar that is!) nestled within ...(Sushi Chef Shane is amazing!). This hotel is incredible! Friendly faces delivering service with a smile - all day and all night! We will definitely be back - again, and again.

Great Place for the business and Families

    from oldbokers

I just returned from 3 nights at this hotel. I was on the end of a business trip. Good Hotel. Great Food. My 4 year old loved the the "kiddie" pool. We will be back. Oncly complaint is the A/C fan has one speed and it is very loud. I will return.

Fantasic facility and great bar service

    from anonymous

What a terrific time we had staying at your new facility. We had a wonderful stay and especially enjoyed the entertainment provided by your bartender, Joe. He was so friendly and had such a great sense of humor he kept us entertained all evening long. He made our Pensacola experiene a delight! Eric Ervin saw to our every whim and was also so nice to all of us. We certainly will be back to visit again soon. Thank you for everything!!

    WONDERFUL/RELAXING

    from anonymous

My family and I stay at this hotel about once a month. We live 30 minutes away from it, but choose to stay there because it is like a vacation far away and the hospitality is wonderful. Their food is awesome and we love the clean rooms and family friendly atmosphere. The well designed "kiddie" pool is also nice. We love it!! Highly recommend it!!

    Wonderful

    from anonymous

This is an unbelievable value. It has the best food and the facility is well thought out and executed. Design features such as three pools and outdoor bar just adds to the beachfrront locations. It is not often that the actual owner of the hotel can be found regularily on site.

    Fabulous!!!!

    from anonymous

My husband and I just got back from a couple of days at this incredible hotel. Everything was perfect. The service was top notch. Our room was very nice. The pool was just beautiful and beach access was easy and short. The food here was excellent. The creme brulle for dessert is a must! I couldn't believe the prices; very low for such a nice hotel.

This hotel seemed family friendly. Laundry rooms were available, right next to a nice arcade room. I can't wait until we get to go again!

Nice, but need to work out some problems

    from anonymous

This hotel is beautiful. However, they are not prepared to handle large crowds. We stayed for three nights at the end of June. The rollaway bed that I had been promised three weeks earlier and again that morning was not available. We were given a small cot for a large teenage boy. We found out later that several people on our baseball team had the same thing happen.

The restaurant was very good. The pool is beautiful and the beach was nice. The rooms were fine. They should have more than two elevators for such a large hotel. There was often a wait.

There was a wedding reception on Saturday night and we had to park next door. The parking lot was so full that people had just parked anywhere.

I would worry that an emergency vehicle could not have gotten in.

This is a nice hotel. I just feel that they have to work out how to handle large crowds.

Four star feel at three star price

    from jbmacq

This is an amazing hotel! The food was world class. The wireless internet was a nice surprise. The decor was perfectly appointed and it gave the visitor a casual elegant feel that was not pretentious but upscale. The rates were the best feature of all. For a beach front four star hotel with three pools you woulfd expect to pay $200+ but this was priced right in line with the other hotels that were beach front.
