Monday

Monday, everybody in the working world hates mondays. Here in vacation land they are just like any other day, great. No work, sleeping in, having fun. It is all good stuff. And to make it even better, the sun was shining and it was warm. Today Erin and I though we should do something. So we did. We went shopping! We found some nice bargains at the outlet mall. This time we did not hear as many foreign languages or accents. Must be the stronger dollar and weaker global economy. But that said, ...

You know, vacationand traeling is not alwaysabout seeing or doing things. Sure it is fun to get out of regular rigamarole butthat is really the point. I sit here tapping away on thebalcoy thinking I like this. I think I have been able to spin that country song backwards. I have my sanity and peace back. I really don't care about the rest of the stuff that comes back because I got the important stuff. I really enjoy the relaxing sun and palm trees. It got me to thinking that what would happen ...

Downtown Disney

Yesterday we got lazy and did some more outlet shopping. I am sure you all are jealous. We all have our own outlets for relaxing, pun intended. Today was more lazy. We spent the morning by the pool reading and listening to XM satelite love songs. Ack! Could they please play soft rock hits. Way too much Billy Joel. But in the afternoon prompted by lunch, we decied to check out Downtown Disney. Well there are lots disney themed stores there. But that is no surprise. We had fun looking around. T...

Time share beware

We just returned. Facilities not that well maintained. There were 4 of us, we had 2 towels when we arrived, after calling twice, we went to get our own. Deli is nice, room fair, found cockroaches at night, sofabed NOT comfortable to our kids. Furniture in kind of shabby condition, carpeting stained, not enough closet space. Too humid to use whirlpool bath -- which is in the bedroom and steams up bedroom. We were invited on a timeshare package, still don't know if it is a scam.

They will give you nothing in writing and our last "deal maker" was very rude. Do research bdfore you go.

I couldn't have asked for more

For the price we paid, we got more value than the we expected for our dollar and I would definitely stay here again. Our 2 bedroom suite was spotless, the maids came daily and did a thorough job, right down to unexpectedly washing our dirty dishes for us! The staff was always extremely helpful. The only slight draw back is the lack of proximity to other restaurants - you must either drive or take the trolley service that runs right past the hotel. I certainly could not have expected any more from a Hilton unless I was paying another $100 per night.

Doesn't have Hilton Standards

I have stayed in many Hiltons before however, this one is below average. Do not get caught up in the glitz and glamour. Just because there is a hot tub in the master doesn't make the place fancy. The dishes they have in the rooms were dirty; the oven had food still in it from the previous guest. In the 2nd bath the Cold was Hot and the Hot was Cold, plus the lights in the bath were missing bulbs there was 1 bulb and 3 missing. That was a wonderful discovery at 12:30 in the morning. The cleaning crew that was suppose to come on Wed. came on Tuesday and just made our bed up, didn't change the sheets nor did they vacuum. The room looked a little rough and definitely stayed in several times. The armoire to our living room TV was knocked off.

This is a very child friendly resort. A lot to do if you have kids, if not...and you are wanting to go to the bar at night by the pool to relax, chances are they will be showing some PG movie so all the kids will be down there hanging out. Instead of relaxing you will be drinking your wine and watching Barney at the same time.

If I had to do it all over again I would have stayed somewhere else.

However I do have High expectations.

It was marvelous i didnt want to leave

The Hilton Grand was the best hotel i ever been to in my whole entire life.

When we were driving, we saw sea world and then on the opposite was a beautiful site.

I was so anxious and i started biting my nails.

When we arrived at the lobby, inside was beautiful we checked in and then we took pictures on the soft beautiful couches and i played the piano.

We the drove up to our hotel where we were staying in the george's section.

I ran up to the elevator and into the room.

Behold what a splendid sight i saw.

The felt as if i belonged there and i was very clean. Oh and i loved the big tub.

I really loved Hilton Grand and i really want to go back but my family doesnt have much money and so it would be very hard to go back there.

I was reallly glad that i got the oppurtunity of a lifetime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Extremely impressed.!Best vacation ever!

When we drove up, we felt maybe they ahd made a mistake on our reservations. This place looked like a million dollars! We checked in smoothly and we were directed to our condo. They gave us map and and took their time explaining how to find oru building. As we drove through the buildings of the resort, we could not have been more pleased with our choice in places to stay. Or at least that is what we thought! A tv and vcr in every room, washer an ddryer, which after a day at Disney wou can often use if you have children. There was a screened in balcony with table and chairs in which to enjoy breakfast. We were blocks from a grocery store to stock our fridge which saved us a ton of money. Seaworld was within walking distance although I would not reccomend walking because you will be too tired to walk back. Disney World is only a five minute drive. Just when we thought we couldn't be more pleased, we discovered the two huge outdoor pools, numerous hot tubs and kiddie pools, along with a playground and a jogging trail around the pond. There is towel service so don't even bother briging your own. The gym was nice and clean and the staff was always courteous! Let's not leave out the childrens' activities and the onsite theater. We didn't want to leave! The next time we will stay longer than 7 nights.

Great Fun

We stayed at Hilton Grand Vacation Club @ Seaworld International Centre

and it was fantastic! The parks are great fun but plan your day and use

the fastpass system whenever you can - it's brilliant! Orlando is

expensive even with a favourable exchange rate!! Don't use the

Supermarkets on International Drive! And remember when budgeting, tips

are around 20% and parking for the theme parks is $7 a day! Fantastic

family holiday, wouldn't go back to Orlando for a good few years

though!!

Can't beat it!!!!!

This hotel was wonderful!! Rooms were awesome, staff was great!! I wish they had an opening this year for our time frame. We will be trying vacation village at parkway this year. I'll Compare!! A++++Very clean!!!

Met my expectations!

We are currently members of HGVC and this was our 1st time at one of the US properties. We loved it! The room looked just like the model shown to us in Hawaii----so, that was great to see. It was clean, convenient, and comfortable. Only problem was a broken sofa bed---but, as soon as we called the front desk---they came the same day to fix it. Only issue is the solicitations from the HGVC (soon to be built) salespeople trying to get you to visit/purchase the other property.

Ehh, you can do better than this

from kbp619
The 1st room was right next to constructions of new units. Of course, getting sleep after a red-eye flight was difficult. We were moved to another room, this one with a view of the lagoon, which was nice. The staff was just OK, and the bellman put the wrong bags in the cab on the way to the airport, and BARELY got back to the airport in time with the correct ones. Also, the pressure tactics they use to sell their time shares are obscene, and there's no value whatsoever. As a whole, I found Florida to be pretty damn miserable, hot, humid, and downright backwards. Pretty creepy state!

Wonderful!!!

from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed at the Hilton Grand last March, it was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were perfect, clean & spacious. Beautifully decorated. And the patios/balconies are all screened in. This was the perfect place to return to after a day at the parks. Good location, away from all the traffic, but between Disney & Universal. I would definitly stay here next time. We got a great deal on a studio type room. And after seeing the room, WOW!, we should have paid more. The staff was helpful & friendly. Easy to buy tickets, and plan your days in the lobby.

The only annoyance was early in the morning when the families are packing up to hit the parks, you can hear all the kids screaming and running around in the hall. But thats only minor.
