... incredibly late.. 10:00pm. Sausage Dog licked the pan that breakfast was cooked in and was very ****ed up. (Breakfast was cooked Papa Jerry Style.. where butter is "butter")
Today Rob and I headed out with a jar of hot pickles and trekked up to Pullman, WA to check out Merry Cellars. A winery that Shaner worked at a few years ago. The wines were amazing ...
... we are planning to move to. I cannot wait to see what that part of the world is like. I have never been any closer than Orlando and that was just for two days during a business thing (I worked for a company that manufactured those bouncy houses for kids parties and we had a convention, LOL). I wonder if we will have time to pick out any presents ...
Yakima, Washington, United States libroabierto... done, we drove up to Pike Place Market (where they throw the fish) and had a very nice lunch.
By the time the coach was ready, we had missed our appointment at Cummins in Renton, WA, to have the air filter replaced. They suggested that we continue on to their facility in Yakima, WA, which was right on our way. We called Yakima and found the filter in stock. Our arrival time was right at ...
Hello again!
We are here! In Washington...the state, not the city, you can all keep breathing and not worry that we've been driving EAST for the past 5 days instead of west! A few little notes....
1. Skip the Montana Old Prison Museum....it's totally not worth it and I'm pretty sure that I'm going to get the plague from the spores I inhaled there!
2. Rav's a wonderful vehicles....and are good at climbing hills....especially if you name ...
... a couple bags of dried cherries. A little further ways down we bought some Ranier cherries and a peach from a roadside stand.
Sunnyside seemed like the perfect place to stop for lunch, especially as the the Dairygold Dairy was giving tours and offering sandwiches for purchase along with their cheeses and ice cream. It was a nice break with a chance to ...
Well woke up a 5am to catch the flight out of Yakima to Seattle. The layovers where perfect, less than a hour! We landed in Lima around 10:45pm and got to our hotel about midnight. The Hotel Antiqua Miraflores was built in 1913 and is located in a perfect location in Miraflores, most things in a short walking distance.
Yakima, Washington, United States toddsmoke... Guide and reached out to him as an expert in the area for where to eat, drink wine, and other incidentals that only a local could really know. Sam and I had spoken via e-mail a few times and he had extended an open invitation for us to stop in at the paper when we got into town. We had made this a point when we got to town and thought it ...
Yakima, Washington, United States joeandfrannie... into Michigan through Iron Mountain and Powers. I re-entered the Eastern Time Zone, but only for the duration of my time in Michigan. I skirted the northern shore of Lake Michigan beyond Escanaba through Gladstone and Engadine, where I spent the night. Within two days I would be in St. Joseph. The ...

Then I followed the highway east toward Kooskia, where I crossed the Clearwater again at a fork. I trailed along the north bank up to Kooskia and Lowell and encountered another fork. From there i moved up hill along a river called the Lochsa. A little farther on I stopped to top off my gas tank because a sign warned, "Last chance for gas. "Next station 112 miles." As I ...
Lochsa River, Idaho, United States elviejo... I had been there a few days earlier I welcomed an opportunity to see it again and I thought Helen should see it. Generally She does not verbalize her responses to places we visit. Here she made an exception. She very clearly responded emotionally to the evidence of the destructive powers of the eruption. Toward day's end were traced our path back to Randle, a small ...
