... I am trying to remember where we saw the other servants quarters - could it have been the Gould house? There seems to be more recognition of the role the servants played in the historical sites. We were to hear and see how the Irish servant women lived in several different houses on our tour of New York.

We drove south Along Taconic State Parkway south to I84 then west to Tri State Area at Point Jervis where New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania all intersect. ... Highway is 3 lanes each way and the drive in was very quick. As usual the signage is good and makes it relatively easy to navigate without Tom if we are just looking.

The clouds had cleared from breakfast and it was a beautiful day, not cold, very pleasant. Walked around the city for a short time taking in part of a walking tour. There are some lovely old buildings, some not so nice looking ones and some big new buildings.
