Manatees (and SeaWorld) here we come...!!!

The first bit of real entertainment was to see everyone coming out of the changing rooms in their wet suits... speechless...!!! In some cases they certainly fitted where they touched...!!! I, of course, wimped out because of my water issues, but enjoyed the trip nontheless for that. The first attempt for them in the water was a bit of a failure, as the manatee definitely ...

I get really frustrated because he won't just let me pay for it, and yet he's been whinging about food for ages, and mines already ordered so I can't cancel it. After all the nagging, it finally all explodes and I tell him if he's going to keep complaining then he can go off by himself. I eat my meal in silence and feel the most peaceful I've felt all day.
He follows me as I leave the restaurant in silence. There was a ride I ...

We were "lucky" in that Seb was just getting over chicken pox when we made it to Universal, so he was quarantined to the room until the last couple of days. I say "lucky" in that this resulted in us going to WWOHP with just Lucas ( our 6 year old) where ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Hilton Garden Inn Orlando at SeaWorld
Good value.
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in March 2004. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was just okay but the waiters did a good job. Our daughter's birthday was on the second day of our stay. I had emailed the manager with a request for a birthday balloon to be left for her in our room. We were very surprised and pleased to find not only a balloon but a card signed by the staff and a birthday cake.
You Get What You Pay For
The entire hotel was clean bright & new looking...a pleasant offering for the money, at approximately $100/night. Location to Sea World, Discovery Bay, and the Convention Center can't be beat. Do not stay on the east side of the building. You will overlook a juvenile detension center which has a walled perimeter and barbed wire around the building entrances......kind of a downer when on vacation. The pool was cold.
When inquiring about heating, the staff indicated it was "solarly heated". The hot tub was by comparison just warm....which attracted a lot of little kids, since the larger pool was too cold. I have not had an unheated pool since staying at a KOA...definetly a cheapo move for a Hilton. They should also offer a continental breakfast....the buffet was expensive at $10.0+. The beds were horrible. Again, not something I would have expected at a Hilton....Maybe a Best Western. Would I recommend....Only if you are a cheapo & know what you are going to get for the money.
Great Hotel
Nice hotel big rooms clean. Well positioned especially for Disney and especially Seaworld. Quick tip when we went to seaworld we actually ended up parking nearer the hotel than the seaworld entrance. Its worth saving the $8 and just walking over.
On junction 71 of the I4. You need to take a sharp left just after the exit junction so be prepared to cross three lanes of traffic to get there
Excellent hotel
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for six days in February 2004 and were very pleased.
The rooms were clean and spacious with excellent facilities (TV, fridge, air con, microwave).
The i-ride trolley stops at the front door for easy access to bars and restaurants.
Pool and spa were a bit cold and cramped, but the fitness room was excellent.
Within easy walking of SeaWorld, but we didn't try the hotel courtesy bus to other parks.
Highly recommended.
Nice
Although I am in Orlando, for Valentine's Day my husband and I went to Sea World and the luau dinner and wanted to avoid the traffic and tolls of coming back for the 2nd day at Sea World. The room was very clean and had a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. Very close to Sea World.
Nice Clean Hotel
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Seaworld for 4 days between Christmas and New Year's - and we were very pleased! It was great to be able to check in after a 2 day drive from Canada with no hassles. The Hotel was clean, the room was quite large with a microwave and fridge.
Location to Disney and Seaworld was perfect - 15 minutes at the most.
The kids really enjoyed the pool! The staff were friendly and the rooms were nicely cleaned each day.
It would be nice if the restaurant would serve an a la carte breakfast instead of only offering a continental and full buffett.
Loved it! Well, most of it...
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Seaworld from December 22-26, 2003 for our honeymoon. We arrived at the hotel around 10am, and the staff was so kind to allow us to check in early and rest a bit before heading to the parks. They all cheered for us when we walked in and called attention to the face that we were newlyweds. The staff continued to make us feel special on every day of our trip, always saying good morning and good evening to us and making conversation.
The room was nice, quite spacious and very very clean. I loved having a refrigerator and microwave in the room. We used the pool/spa once, and if it hadn't been overrun by kids, it would have been great! However, I'm not sure I believe that the pool was heated. It felt awfully chilly to me.
The one complaint I have about this hotel, that could prevent us from staying here again, is the shuttle service to and from the parks. The shuttles, run by LR Joseph company, were often late, overly full (we had to stand up on the bus going to Disney more than a few times because it was so full), and the drivers were sometimes surly and demanding of tips. I'm just grateful the shuttle service was free.
The Only Way to Go
I recently stayed at this hotel in May because the other Hilton I wanted at the Walt Disney World was booked, so I took a chance, and I'm glad I did. The staff is wonderful and thoughtful from the moment you walk in and the rooms are fresh, new and inviting. There's a sink with a fridge and microwave so if you have to eat your left over food from room service, you can place it in the fridge and warm it in the morning. The hotel is a short five minute drive to Walt Disney World, and if you want to drive to the parks you can, if not you can leave your car at Downtown Disney and enjoy Disney's free bus transportation.
The Hotel is very clean and cozy, and it's great place to stay in Orlando.
A great place to stay
We could not fault this hotel. We stayed here 3 nights during our family vacation to Disney World. It was more like a mini resort than a hotel, although at very reasonable rates. Only a short drive to Disney World (we found driving a better option than the limited shuttle service, although you pay $7-8 to park at DW each day), and just a few minutes down International Dr the other way to abundant restaurants and shops. The swimming pool was simply awesome! Rooms very clean and comfortable, and hotel staff were very helpful. The only shortcoming was the unappealing breakfast offerings, although if you stick with cereals, juice and fruit you can't go wrong. Overall, a great place to stay! Next door to Seaworld but we didn't go there.
