      Yesterday, was thankfully a lazy day. We used the day to explore the resort (Welk Resort), catch up on some naps, do some grocery shopping and hang out at the pool. It was nice to cook our own meal on the grill here and not have to pack up and head to a restaurant for dinner. Our resort is very nice, with enough stuff to keep the kids entertained.       ... of San Diego, the bay area and the military base. The main visitors attractions are at the top of the hills. However, there are also some very cool tide-pools right on the coast. We made our way down the footpaths to view them, and it was well worth the short climb to get there. The views along the coast were beautiful - with the red rocks contrasting with the blue sea.

      ... get the washing machine on as we have not had access for quite a few days. Washing on, so we go out to the supermarket to stock up on supplies. Washing done, now time for the ironing.
