      ... shops, swimming pools and all sorts. The building itself is so gorgeous, white wooden victorian architecture and red tiled roofs, stunning. The long stretch of white sand also made for a fantastic beach. We wanted to check out the beaches further to the south to see if they were any better so we drove to Silver Strand State Beach and then to Imperial Beach but neither were as nice as Coronado so we went straight back to make the most of the sunny afternoon.

      ... Beach. There is a constant ocean breeze that blows in, making the air seem cooler and the waves quite big. Matthew was the only brave one to venture into the water..as I mentioned earlier, the water is surprisingly cold. Today it felt similar to the ocean back home. One of the really cool things about this beach is that there is a lot of mica in the sand and when the sun shines on the wet sand, it looks like gold. My picture didn't do it justice, ...
