After a delicious cooked breakfast we headed back to the ferry to pick up the rest of the weekend’s food supplies. Magda had ordered it online and it was delivered via the ferry – a cheaper option than buying everything on the island! I had to have a giggle when I saw the sign pointing to the town center – there are two restaurants, a grocery store and a wine/ coffee ...
My friend Margarita loves the word serendipity, which means "the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way". That perfectly describes today.
We left the hotel this morning headed for Connecticut, but with a stop near Trenton, NJ to visit a high school friend of Armando's. I figured we would get there and he and his friend would talk about a bunch of people I don't know in Spanish ...
Up early but then back to sleep after a handful of pandadine ,I think my cold has finally hit ..woke to find the girls already showered and dressed ....that's a first for the trip me still in bed and them ready to go ! The drugs must have worked .Anyhoooo up dressed breakfast downstairs ...Tracey had this really tasty doughnut ...... And we learnt that some Americans like to come to breakfast in their flannelette ...
... and even though I don't trust Gary the Garmin sat nav I'm glad we had him because we never would have found our way back home to the hotel . We missed a few turns did a few u turns and took the scenic route home ...not on purpose ...but finally got there with lots of laughs and giggles .Loaded up the trolly to the top with all our bags and purchases and went up to our room to unpack and hit the hay we were exhausted ...
... Alexandra and Matt my teach abroad coordinators, without them nothing would have came together! After all they had to put up with my annoying questions and various concerns regarding the contract, but thats a whole other story....Anyways everything came together and I can not wait to see what China has in store for me and Kristy!!!
