    Awake really early this morning but layed and played on our phones and just relaxed. Had showers and then went to Gurnee mills for a shop, Shani needed to buy a new phone, so we got that and then looked around. Stopped to fill up Nathan's ute and get them a present for having us the last 3 nights. Had some toasted sandwhiches for lunch and packed up our things and ordered a taxi. ...

    ... creams (added incentive for Con Gregg) and ours were the only kids. The real benefit was that we had access to the viewing lounge with glass walls and ceiling. We based ourselves there and watched acres of sweet corn pass the windows. Some variation but basically from 1400 to 0630 it was wall to wall sweet corn -the US eats a lot of maize.

    Dinner in the dining car, beds turned down by Curtis- let the good times roll!

    ... not complaining, it's delicious. Erin had pasta because she has recently become a pescatarian (vegetarian, but she eats fish). Finally, we got back to the hotel, went to bed and am now at volleyball doing it all again. I'm halfway through another book and wishing my camera was charged. I've got a couple pictures from my phone, but eh, it's just not the same. Hope you enjoyed my random musings. If this goes smoothly, I'll try again ...

    ... me off in the City with map in hand and off I went. I think the photos speak fo themselves and it was a fantastic day and walked everywhere when I wasnt on the Hop on Hop off bus.

    I dont find Chicago as exciting or as much to do and see as San Francisco or of course LA.

    Ended up in a great bar/restaurant referred by the bus driver on the tour - great piano bar and the music, cosmopolitans and the seafood entree's were fantastic. (Escargot, with ...
