I recommend to stay here if you want to be in the middle of the action. Easy access to the subway. Between the Empire State Building and Herald Square.

Well we arrived last night after a long 25 hours of travel at around 9pm, a little delirious but still very excited to be in New York. After retrieving our bags from a different terminal since they had ended up at the wrong one, we made our way to the hotel and checked into a temporary room for the first night. We were starving after not eating …

There were a couple of longer stops for servicing and refueling the train and we could get out and walk around. He would then walk the dog. However at times he would come running down the aisle to grab paper towels for an " accident" which occurred. The fellow next to me the whole way was a man in dreadlocks who spent most ...

... claustrophobic, I can't sleep well on airplanes, I ran out of water about an hour before landing, and I really missed M-Mama, M-Papa, Shiori & Hina-chan.

I picked up the SIM card I reserved for my phone. Now I have data! (For about 1600 per day. But I still have data.) Took JR NEX to the Shinkansen & was “home” in Nagoya in about two hours. That means my total travel time was something like 17 hours. Totally worth it in the end, but ...
