I recommend to stay here if you want to be in the middle of the action. Easy access to the subway. Between the Empire State Building and Herald Square.

Arrived at 5:45am and took a taxi to our hotel (cost $50.00) and had to wait for almost an hour for our schedule "Timeshare Update". It took about a hour since no one was there yet. I was totally wasted since I got only a couple of hours of sleep on the plane. Lucky for us the guy we were assigned to realize that we were not there to buy so he let …

... well, tomorrow we plan to head downtown and hit Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero so hoping for okay weather. One thing I'm regretting is bringing nice clothing. In need of some boots with a hint of fashion and possibly a pair of black jeans. Runners, as my new Aussie friends call them, aren't very well accepted unfortunately, so shopping it will be. Damn! Planned to watch The Grinch tonight but the wifi is awful and the chargers by my bed don't work, awesome! iPod it is. Peace out! ...

I stayed with my friends Emile, Rufus and Shaka like I usually do in NYC. This time in Harlem...oooo dangerous...well or not, such a nice neighborhood and it even has nearby Riverside Park to run along.

... the Pan Pacific Hotel in Queens. When we got to the hotel however, it was closed. We got out of the cab anyway (since we didn't know where else to get him to take us), and had a bit of a look around. A lovely family (which is apparently lucky to find in Queens), explained that the hotel had been closed down for ages and had been turned into a homeless shelter!

They suggested we try the motel down the road to see if that was where we were meant ...

... uptown to 81st street and headed to the rendezvous.

As it turned out Meg and James cycled all around the park and met us at the Della court theatre. Which gave us some time to kill, so I found us a refreshment shop that sold beer. So a cheeky one was inserted into the plan.

After we met up we all walked down the park and around the lake, ...
