I recommend to stay here if you want to be in the middle of the action. Easy access to the subway. Between the Empire State Building and Herald Square.

... In NY there are lots of dog-walkers, as I might have mentioned before, and we met a few on 5th Avenue. Some of them walk several dogs at once, and they all seem to be very well behaved [the dogs].

At the Met we made for the American Gallery. In this immense building it would take many, many visits to to take in all the various exhibits. The Met doesn't just house paintings but has wonderful displays from all over the world, including a ...

The armoury collections were very popular with the students as was the musical instrument collection. Again, Mr Foster led a tour of the art collections which ...

... late - we had a detour via the New York Public Library...another "wow" moment. Totally Joey heaven in NY! They also had a special event on in the Library so loads of people were dressed up and heading in there - they had loads of candles lit on the steps up to the entrance. Too amazing for words (yet I do seem to be finding a lot of words don't I?!)

So instead of Union Square, we found a bar about 15 minutes from Grand Central and had some fries and a couple of beers. ...

Hit the sidewalks and to the empire state building ... Not a great time ... Very crowded but we persevered! How many queues can one place have??? Sense of achievement in having 'done it' but not fun! To lunch in Korean area ( we had a hankering for bimibap after our Korean airline experience. ) fresh beautiful food. To grand central station and how lovely is that place? Peach ...
