South of the Border is this rediculous stop on I 95 just south of the South Carolina and North Carolina border. Hence the name. Anyway, they have huge dinasour statues, gift shops, and terrible food. I have been wanting to check it out all summer and I'm stoked I finally did. I bought a bag some nic nacs and a tank top. Tyler got a blanket.

We didn't take any pictures. It just wasn't that kind of a visit.

Tyler and I are on our way to Maryland. We left melbourne this morning after catching the most recent episode of Entourage on demand.  We deided to stay in Columbia, South Carolina because we both had never been there.  

We have a room at a bed and breakfast in the heart of Five Points.  We went out to grab some dinner at an Irish pub called Delaney's, walked around a bit, and eventually ...

... around the entire park and taking a bunch of pictures, we decided to head back to Gervais St. to check out the local restaurants. And then the fun began....

We realized that the only parking was metered parking.... and we had just used our only $2 of quarters for the parking at Finlay.

Up at the crack of dawn today, and drove through to South Carolina. We stayed with friends from NH that recently moved down south. It was great for Gabi & Heather to see each other: All the girls had fun, and sounds like they are still awake chatting now (12:30 am). They'll be cranky when I get them up at 6:30 to head out!

... bored even. I couldn't really believe we wer going on a
vacation again, and I kind of didn't even want to go.

Towards the end of the evening I began to nap, though it was hard to
get comfortable. I woke up at 10 that night to find that we had found
some shithole to camp in for the night. I'm not just saying it's a
shithole lightly. I meant it was ****. I think it's more an RV park.
And the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting ...

... almost done house-mostly just cosmetic things to touch up and they hope to be moving in next weekend! It is going to be nice and is painted in colors I like-lots of yellowy-gold. We took our ballots to the postoffice so that is done, a trip to the grocery store and 2 new pair of slacks for Charlie. I guess he plans on being around for a bit longer! Home for pork sandwiches and fried potatoes, and computer and TV news till bedtime. The weather report is for possible ...

... So, we were in bed by 10:00 p.m. That gave us an early start this morning. We were on the road by 8:30 a.m. If we drive straight thru, our ETA would be midnight. However, we will not drive straight thru. With the snow fat home, we will not be able to pull the camper and truck into the driveway. So, we will stop overnight and arrive early afternoon tomorrow. :-)
