          Still on our way to Nashvegas!!! Made some pit stops along the way in Ohio for gas and restrooms!! We saw the Cinncinatti Reds and Cinncinati Bengals stadiums along the way!! Stopped in Northern Kentucky for some lunch at Firehouse Subs!!!! Got back on the highway heading south towards Nashville and saw signs for the Jim Beam distillery so of course we had to go!!           ... luckily there was a sidewalk all the way and we found a wonderful selection of salads, pizza, sushi, and all sorts of asian food varieties so some choices were made and supper was purchased.

          We were on a roll so next morning we headed to another Kmart for an extra fix followed by a gratuitous Tim Horton fix. We thought they were only in Canada so it was an unexpected bonus and just had to be done. We do love those Timbits in their little box. Time to get back on the road ...

          We departed Ohio today and headed for the 10th state on our summer vacation road trip: The Bluegrass state of Kentucky.

          Before leaving Cincinnati we had breakfast at an interesting restaurant called Sugar n' Spce which had a kid-fun theme as you can see in my pictures. Along with cartoon characters painted on the wall were rows of small rubber ducks. Not sure of the story behind these other then the waiter says the owner collects them and shares one with each guest, ...

          ... wish to go to the Kentucky Derby someday wearing a big hat. Until then, this will do. We didn't want to stay long or do any tours so we went to the gift shop for post cards. Did I mention that the kids write themselves postcards in every state and send them postmarked from that state? Pretty neat getting home to a bunch of postcards to themselves.
