Day One : Manchester, Orlando, Hurry Up and Wait!!
... for about 3 and a half hours now, and I quite like it. Admittedly, I haven't moved in a while which is a badge of happiness in this, my life of sloth - however I must whinge about the onboard entertainment system on the plane. I'm writing this on an iPad at the moment, and compared to the inflight system, this is like something NASA would use. The screen on the tv system is distinctly low resolution, and the films are not available for you to start ...
We have a Truck!
... at the end of the day, we found something suitable. Needless to say it's the biggest truck we could possibly have - a 2006 Ford F-350 Dually FX Off Road Crew Cab 6.0L Diesel long bed.
Obviously we now need to practice driving the truck around for a few days, and at the weekend we'll take it to have the hitch fixed to pull the 5th wheel.
We're getting there! ...
Disney at Last
Well our luggage arrived at 4.30pm yesterday afternoon so in actual fact we lost a whole day. The weather has gone from freezing to sweltering. Not sure which is worse:)
We had our first day at Disney's Magical Kingdom today. The photos will tell it all. Tomorrow we are off to Universal Studio's to pick up a few Invisibility Cloaks, sorting hats and Griffindor ...
Final Go-Rounds
... we were in the front seat and got to take in the ride again without worrying about filming. Part of the "testing" was going through an extreme environments: hot, cold and corrosive. We went through the hot (which it was) then into the “cold” environment, then the ride stalled and we were stuck in the 'freezer”, brrrrr. OK, not at all. Overall though, it was a good ride.
