        Nice Hotel, Clean

The rooms were very clean. Our room had a mini-fridge that we were able to put our left over pizza from Square Pizza (down town Independence). The boys swam in the indoor pool. It was a good size pool, but because it was indoor, the smell of Chlorine was a bit overwhelming.

The next morning, we went down to breakfast before continuing on our journey where they had anything a kid could possibly want for breakfast.

Nice hotel, I'd stay there again.

We figured being in Missouri we needed to stop by Kansas City for some amazing BBQ since the city is known for it!! We stopped at.... We ordered 4 huge meals and shared between the four of us!! We don't think we could eat at another BBQ place again that is how good it was!! After this we drove to a town in the middle of no where (3 hours east of Denver) on I-70 West in Kansas State next to a town called Kanarado (we loved this name) and got a hotel to get some shut ...

... my meal (took a doggie bag home) and then had a piece of lemon meringue cheesecake. It was the best piece of cheesecake that I have ever had. I finished the whole piece off. Jonathan took his home; maybe I can help him eat it tomorrow? Whilst we were eating our meal outside, a really annoying busker was blasting away on the trumpet. Jonathan thought that he may be drunk. Even the waiters were laughing at him. Went back to the hotel to do laundry - very exciting ...

... be any run down areas - we know they exist somewhere. We are staying in a lovely Marriot which was 65% off. Our room is so nice. Today we found an even better deal in the Sherington which is in the middle of the city, so that will be nice to be able to walk everywhere. The only problem with posh hotel is that the Internet fee is stupid per day ($10), so we haven't bothered. As we're not driving around and are eating ...

... short film sets the stage for your visit. Truman was a VP and became president in the first year of his term when Roosevelt died (not unexpectedly). He was immediately thrust into the end of WW II in Europe, the Potsdam meetings with Churchill and Stalin and the decision to use atomic bombs on Japan, ending that war. During this term and his second term, he (against advice and popular opinion) acknowledged the new state of ...

This is a National Park site so we bought a pass for all the national parks and sites across the US. The Park Service staff (who just got his dual citizenship from Canada) assured us that we would recoup the $80 with all the places we plan to visit! The ...
