    Nice Hotel, Clean

The rooms were very clean. Our room had a mini-fridge that we were able to put our left over pizza from Square Pizza (down town Independence). The boys swam in the indoor pool. It was a good size pool, but because it was indoor, the smell of Chlorine was a bit overwhelming.

The next morning, we went down to breakfast before continuing on our journey where they had anything a kid could possibly want for breakfast.

Nice hotel, I'd stay there again.

... conversation to bring me back. I needed the help. We had an art session next with the residents where I got to talk to Debbie and Ann about their lives and passions. I'm very hesitant to say that I got something out of service, because I shouldn't be there to get something, that's selfish, I should be there to help others from my heart, but this time I was the one who needed the service. These ladies did what we've been trying to do all week, they brought up my ...

    Restart Day 4

We awoke to a freshly baked quiche and pancakes in which we stuck in a birthday candle for Tiffani :) we headed out to Restart where we began with the donation rooms, this time with the men's donation room. With only an hour of work we got it all almost sorted out. Then we headed downstairs to serve lunch. I ate with Robin again today which was nice because we got to go deeper than politics- she ...

... value for material possessions. The home is well in excess of 100 years old, and there are plenty of signs that it has been lived in a lot, and remodeled very little. The linoleum floor in the kitchen has a series of tacks holding the flooring down where a seem had come apart. The home was functional. It had lots of books and a couple of comfortable chairs in a study with which the Trumans would spend house and hours relaxing in retirement. ...

... your tongue, it began to melt into nothingness. There was no chewing required. It had an excellent taste that was neither too smokey or too sweet. The ribs were more on the sweeter side. Part of this was due to the sauce which was sweeter than other BBQ sauces I’ve tired, but it also seemed as though they had been rubbed in a sweeter type rub possibly with a good bit of brown sugar in it. The meat was extremely tender. You could pull off a whole strip ...

... complemented well by the sweet tanginess of the barbecue sauce. The spicy slaw was vinegar-based with just a little kick. Paired very well with the ribs and brisket to give it just a little extra spice at the end. Even the Texas toast had a taste that was unique. They also had a hot barbecue sauce that lacked the sweetness of the regular sauce but instead had a spicy tanginess.

Overall Impression: Best ribs I've had in all my ...
