      Nice Hotel, Clean

The rooms were very clean. Our room had a mini-fridge that we were able to put our left over pizza from Square Pizza (down town Independence). The boys swam in the indoor pool. It was a good size pool, but because it was indoor, the smell of Chlorine was a bit overwhelming.

The next morning, we went down to breakfast before continuing on our journey where they had anything a kid could possibly want for breakfast.

Nice hotel, I'd stay there again.

Not only am I going to a completely foreign place, I am also going into a very foreign college atmosphere.  The last three years I have spent my time at a ...

Once through we rushed to the gate only for Lauri to discover that she couldn't find her phone. She knew she had it before we went through security because she showed me the QR. She ran back to security while I called her repeatedly. They had already boarded passengers ...

... after the day's adjusted and enhanced travel arrangements and engaged in an impromptu snack fest as we gobbled up an array of junk food we bought for our in-flight entertainment. We were starvin marvins. We knew there was a surprise from Lauri's mom on the way via Lisa but the temptation was too great. As we finished the first bottle and began on the next, Lisa, David and a very tall Andrew pulled up, unloaded and presented to us a full-out turkey dinner complete with a whole ...

... via Dallas, the motivation to arrive at the airport several hours early was driven by more then just acquiring the proper seats. A side benefit was numerous bloody marys at the KCI Brew Pub which we were obliged to drink in honor of our trip and the long wait ahead of us. Warm and cozy we picked a couple of seats in the sun and hunkered ...

... value for material possessions. The home is well in excess of 100 years old, and there are plenty of signs that it has been lived in a lot, and remodeled very little. The linoleum floor in the kitchen has a series of tacks holding the flooring down where a seem had come apart. The home was functional. It had lots of books and a couple of comfortable chairs in a study with which the Trumans would spend house and hours relaxing in retirement. ...
