    ... the fresh air with gratitude.

    And then into Alabama, as far south as we are travelling. Right on cue, ‘them ol’ cotton fields’ appeared as soon as we crossed into the state. Our evening meal was served by a woman with a softly spoken, flat southern drawl which was a little hard to follow, but she came good with a salad which David commented would feed a family of four.     ... than trying to get out of Arizona in May when the temps were above 100 degrees and we had over 6% grades. Charlie didn't like that at all. I'm pretty sure he was smiling on this fine day tho.

    It's labour Day in USA today however our plan is to get to Chattanooga, do some sight seeing and probably stay there overnight.
