Following the path the sunlight charts, iridescent and lovely, as it slips from waxy foliage to the curls in my mother's hair as she soaks in the warmth in the backyard. I'm in the "B" riding group, better known as Bravo! There are 4 groups and riders choose which average speed they wish to ride. Our group targets 15 miles an hour but today we rode an average of 17 miles an hour across almost 60 miles. I was inspired by 2 soldiers on hand cycles who rode in our group all day...it was amazing to follow these guys while hitting speeds in excess of 30 miles an hour with them.
