      I am sitting at the station and a thick fog clouds the river. Perhaps not a good time to walk along the river bank! But as usual, I am surprisingly early for my train.       ... Once again I checked my diary and found that I had no pressing engagements so I graciously accepted Michael’s kind offer.

      Backstage was small, but backstage. Michael kindly introduced me to GP and the band. They all said nice things about my trip halfway around the word to see them, finding out I am attending nine shows in a row they possibly think I am a bit nutty. I probably am.

      ... at this time and luckily there is a little map kiosk. I get my bag in there and climb up onto the little shelf thing and sit out the 20 min or so downpour. Then I set off into the dripping vegetation. That's the funny thing about the forest. It sort of evens out the rain. If it's coming down really heavily, the trees keep it steady.
