Stopped for afternoon break in Erie, PA and drove out to the Presque Isle State Park - a HUGE park! It's a big peninsula out in Lake Erie, just off the coast of the city of Erie. It was a beautiful beach - about 6 miles long. We walked for about an hour and just as we returned to the car, it began to rain. ... reçu lui a mentionné tout de suite qu'elle avait déjà vérifié pour d'autres gens avant nous et que tout était plein partout. La gérante nous a demandé si on partait tôt le matin et après qu'on ait répondu oui, elle nous a proposé de rester devant l'office. On a même eu accès à l'eau et l'électricité. Incroyable!
Alors on va faire dodo et on se croise les doigts pour demain. On arrive bientôt!

Erie is Not So Eerie
... The water was so clear and cool - it really did look like the ocean, hard to believe it is Lake Erie. Enjoyed our visit to the beach, then found the Lawrence Park Dinor (yes it is spelled that way). Adorable little place where the waitress was very friendly and made us a club sandwich to go. Kelly was tempted to order the Hot Dog BLT, but didn't. Back on the road, eating our sandwich.

Now this is Erie
... we took a tour of the area and saw their old haunts: where they went to school, where they cruised the main drag, their first apartment, etc. and heard some intimate details - just kidding Ed & Lois. Then to dinner at a restaurant on Lake Erie for a local delicacy - fried lake perch. They sang happy borthday to me, and of course, I blushed. Yeh, right!!!
