      ... we got out of the car I instantly realized we had 2 inexperienced backpackers with us. PAC man had just upgraded from a 15 year old external frame, and didn't know how to fit his pack, while jimmy joe looked like a pack mule with giant gear strapped on all over the outside of his pack.       ... and the wind got stronger. We jumped back on the bus, pumped up the heating, and got warm! We then drove out of the Ruby Mountains, and made our way to a special Green Tortoise spot. A farmer out in the sticks in Nevada had a river running through his property, and at one spot a hot pool had formed. He lets the Green Tortoise come and use it for free, which is nice.
