During the past two weeks, I have had numerous retirement gatherings. I received many plaques, gifts, and well wishes. Today at 10:30am, I officially left Turf Care and retired. I dressed up for the occasion by wearing my Hawaiian shirt. Sheila suggested I wear shorts and flip flops, but that was pushing the envelope. Waiting for our flight

A travel blog entry by eastallie on Dec 19, 2014

After a few too many references to tea parties and militias, it was time to get out of Williamsburg. So we headed south to Chapel Hill, where we landed at the home of our dear friends, Jim and Heather (and their lovely daughters, Sydney and Leah). Neela had wiggled her tooth so incessantly that she nearly lost her thumb instead. But finally all of that industriousness paid off, and we had a gleefully ...

... food and quick service. Then it was head to the coach.

Once on the coach we watched the Rock, did some reading, listened to my iPod and relaxed. It was a long drive with only one stop for toilets. But we arrived in Raleigh and went to the hotel
(best western) Once we had our rooms, it was unpack, i uploaded a few pictures to Facebook, used the WiFi, then it was time to head to dinner. We got back ...
