    ... sure it is that I am procrastinating, or more that my brain isn't functioning properly and therefore reading sources would be fruitless). My brain seems to finally be reacquiring some form of sense and perhaps a little focus. And one always needs a break at the archives at some point during the day.

    More later, when hopefully I have made it back to Irvington without paying Harlem a flying visit.

    After staying the night in Fishkill near I-84, we drove the relatively short way down to Tarrytown where we planned to visit Sunnyside and Lyndhurst which were not open when we passed through on the way up the Hudson to Albany from New York City.

    We started off a little later than we wanted, but still in plenty of time to get through Hartford, CT in time to avoid the traffic and make it to Jess and Pete's by mid-afternoon. However, as we approached Danbury, CT, there were signs all over saying "Rt 84 closed at Exit 5" so we decided to get off the highway and take smaller, back roads to avoid the delay.     ... a Radio Shack and purchased a new Garmin GPS and a throw away cell phone. Did some shopping, including purchasing three gifts for the family. And its only day two!

    Walking back to the car, I passed a man in front of a barber shop sign he looked at me like I needed a haircut, so I asked “can you cut my hair?”. He said sure. The Barbershop was upstairs in an office building and most of the tenants were strangely hair salons.

    ... my second United State. It was about half an hours drive away. When I walked I was surprised by how much was in there, they sold everything and this was apparently a small Walmart. I just got some essentials, after-sun, a water bottle, a towel etc etc. Nothing major.
