        I sat down last night for my cheesy pasta (Monterey Jack, yum yum yum yum YUM!) and chatted to Kerstin, and then to Robin, her daughter Flynn, and Julia. Flynn is writing a novel set in England at the moment (very cool), so what better than a nice English girl to have a chat with! Ok, ok, you can take out the 'nice' if you really must...!         ... into the famous "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"? Because of Irving's Legend and how well known and popularized the story has become, the town comes alive during Halloween. There are cemetery tours, ghost tours, haunted houses, a great jack-o-lantern blaze, festivals, etc.

        We started off a little later than we wanted, but still in plenty of time to get through Hartford, CT in time to avoid the traffic and make it to Jess and Pete's by mid-afternoon. However, as we approached Danbury, CT, there were signs all over saying "Rt 84 closed at Exit 5" so we decided to get off the highway and take smaller, back roads to avoid the delay.         ... started talking about concerts and festivals he had been and was going to. He was a bit younger, turned out to be 23. I started telling him my story, about how I was in route to Montana and heading to Nicaragua for the summer. He started to talk to me in Spanish and I understand a bit, but had trouble understanding/hearing him and got a bit lots. I responded and he he was like, "did you hear what I said?".         ... I'll fly to California to meet up with her, spend a day in Palm Desert and then head off to Europe on Tuesday, June 26th.

        So on the evening of June 23rd -- the evening before my departure -- I shared a glass of champagne with my parents and went out to dinner with them to celebrate their 43rd wedding anniversary!
