    ... 120 extra miles and spent $100 for nothing. Boy, that bratwurst was expensive.

    Finally got past Columbia late on the 9th and was able to stop along the Katy Trail in Rocheport. The trail just east of Rocheport is one of the most scenic stretches with high sandstone bluffs on the one side and the Missouri river right along the other side of the trail.     ... and I have to find some recipes for one pot cooking and use the microwave a lot. Think we're pretty safe until we return home and we can have it checked out. It's not leaking inside the coach, so that is good, it only leaks when it's turned on and then you can hear it escaping. That means leave it turned off.

    10:15 AM - Colby, Kansas pit stop & gas ($2.55/gal).

    NOON - just past Hays, KS and the temperature is 90 degrees! Glad I didn't plan any outdoor hikes today. There are windmills all over, on both sides of road, as far as the eye can see!

    1-ish - quick lunch stop at a rest area. It is hot.
