Santa Monica Beach is famous for its pier, which is home to rollercoasters, a Ferris wheel and many food places. I recognized it from a number of movie scenes. We walked down the beach and the boulevard until the sun went down and our stomachs started to rumble. After a lovely Asian dinner and a boba tea desert he dropped us off ...

... to stay in L.A. for two nights so we could spend a day seeing a few things that we wanted to see. The hotel was expensive (and we got a deal on it for 1/2 price? Hmmm) but it was in a good location and had a free shuttle bus to the airport.

We spent the afternoon walking around the area. A grocery store was located right behind our hotel, so we were ...
