... don't know who they are dealing with here! Just show me how to empty the ******* so I don't do a Robin Williams in "RV", and I'm good to go! Lord knows they didn't check my driving record, or we never would have gotten this rental to begin with. The Cops would never give a speeding ticket to a man driving his family in an RV on vacation would they?

Oh, lovely Fort Wayne. I was lucky enough to drive there from Chicago. The drive there was fine, but then the blizzards hit and the temperatures dropped. I'm not sure I can remember being in weather that cold. So that alone, will always make Fort Wayne very memorable. It was very similar temperatures to ...
Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States bono4me... their second trip to Hawaii. Our flight leaves from Fort Wayne airport (Indiana) tomorrow at 6am, which means we will have to get up super early in order to arrive in time to check in for the flight. We are flying on Delta with one lay-over in Atlanta then straight through to Honolulu. If all goes well, we will be in Honolulu at 3:10pm (their time)!
Convoy, Ohio, United States kellyfromohio... arrived at 2pm and due to rain there was nothing to do we decided to continue our trip towards Indiana in order to gain some ground. This decision was a lucky one as the whole area that we were going to drive through was starting to flood and had we waited another 24 hours we would have been stuck for another couple of days or more. Unluckily we tried to contact the people we were going to meet at Belleville on their mobile but US public phones have posed a ...
Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States veromarcos... that will effect a significant portion of the next part of my life. I am going to Paraguay on a one way ticket, with no solid dates of return. Knowing this brings to mind all of the what if's? But those thoughts and my struggles even now as I prepare are just the gentle or not so gentle reminders of my need to have complete trust in my savior Jesus Christ.
Paulding, Ohio, United States missionsgirl... in Taiwan or Hong Kong for a year, but maybe only six months, I'm not sure. The itinerary is tentative, but it is safe to say the decision is made. My family thinks I'm crazy, random people think I'm inspiring, and I find that I think too much. I can't wait to be on the road not having to think, but just going with whatever comes my way. Stay tuned for the action...
Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States dlinsmey... tour of Porto Rafti (which literally means "Port of Tailors"). We walked down to the sea, and then wandered back to the hotel. The Artemis has rooms set up in an Apartment style...each has a bathroom, kitchen, one or two bedrooms, a living room, and balconies! Our balcony faces the mountain that I have yet to climb. :) They let us go to bed after eating a Greek meal.
Indianapolis, Indiana, United States vagabond07... tent! Quite a luxury! We both fell asleep after about 5 minutes. Great night!

I slept great last night...a little too good I think. We've gotten so used to sleeping in the tent and waking up when it starts to get light outside that we both slept much later today than we have been. We finally got up (and got our free continental breakfast!) and headed into the city. We found a parking lot right beside a ...
Hi Everyone, I leave for Papua New Guinea tomorrow! Dad, Mom and I will be spending one night in LA, picking up the rest of the Discovery gang (we call them the Disc-ies), and heading off for PNG. The first couple of weeks we will be on the coast in a town called Madang. After an orientation course (on PNG, language, culture ...
Fort Wayne, Indiana, United States sarah_kovinOne of the great things about the road trip was that Ellie was a school teacher, meaning she had the summer off but was still collecting a paycheck, and I was a freelance writer, meaning that I could take jobs as they came and work on them during my down time. My most consistent employer was Toyfare magazine, a journal dedicated to the world of action figures and the grown men and women who should know better than to be ...
