Room 5225 and our room was HUGE.

King sized bed and very comfortable, large balcony, big bathroom with a separate toilet.

Hairdryer, iron and iron board, safe and refrigerator (although we could not figure out how to open it lol).

Breakfast was so nice with everything you could imagine to eat was there, they even had a toaster!!!

The reception are was so pretty as you will seem from the photos. Restaurants close by.

Internet poor, air conditioning didn't work, central to town, lovely breakfast, only one person at checkout

Stop in Berne, the capital city of Switzerland en route to Lake Genève. Visit the town of Montreux, famous for its Jazz Festival, before enjoying a lakeside drive to Evian les Bains on the southern slopes of Lake Genève. Departed Zurich at 9am to head to Bern. We had no preconceived ideas on what Bern would like, but when we drove into …

Shuttling back on down the hill in the electric taxes, Tim decided to walk down, this was easily achieved & we got down in plenty of time.

... airport via the train. So easy and handy. And, as today is hot, hot, hot, I'm appreciating the AC. The weather this summer in Geneva has been amazing and the 35+ temperatures should be good prep for what's to come! Sad to leave home (and Craig). When I get back, summer will be ...

On our morn walk we ventured into the back streets where the real people live and discovered more hidden beauty. We walked into the town square past Louis Pasteur's home and college. We decided to have a picnic breakfast in a cute little spot once just outside the town limits, which we all enjoyed greatly. Today's diving has taken us through lush dairy farming country with very contented looking ladies, sunflowers fields with heads ...

Our friends Gavin and Susie moved to Bern, Switzerland, a few years ago with their kids. Susie's parents are Swiss and the job opportunities here for as a hydro plant operator and electricity trader are much better. Gavin stays home to care for Willem, their 3 year old boy. We arranged for Gav and Willem to come down to Lausanne in Thursday so we could take the 1/2 hour boat ride across the lake to Evian, France. This is where the famous Evian water is sourced and it's another ...
