... I was supporting the Jets and despite some pretty ****** reffing that resulted in a Jets win (and I'm not complaining!). I'd say the only thing I disliked was the scantily clad girls (they looked 14) "shovelling" the ice or otherwise acting like cheerleaders. I guess this is an American thing but....it's hockey, not football. It was just so out of place. Otherwise I had a fantastic time. They even have the post-game traffic down to a fine art! Our wake up call was at 8:00, bags out by 9:00, depart at 9:30. Everything went smoothly until it was time for the bus to come and pick us up. There was a Run for Cancer going right past our hotel and the bus couldn't get to us on time. When the last of the runners went by the bus picked us up. It took about 30 minutes to get to the airport. We were the first ones dropped off at Terminal 1. Everyone else was going to Terminal 4. ...
We left for the airport at 1:15 right on time. We parked in the green lot and took the shuttle to the airport. We checked our bags at the US Airways counter and went to security. For some reason Larry and I had pre-boarding on our tickets which meant we didn't have to take off our shoes, or take out our liquids etc. We got to the gate and had an hour until boarding. We left about 5 minutes late because of a backup in Philly. We arrived in Philly before ...
... My last day at Jerome was yesterday and now I only have 7 weeks until I graduate college. I feel like such an adult. I am definitely going to miss the students at Jerome though. They were great! A few of my classes brought in treats and cards and cakes and we ate nothing but sugar all day (not complaining).

On the 24th of June, 2013 my world came to a screeching halt. Never did I dream that lunch with my best friend would be our last. It would be a very long list of 'lasts', and I am still adding to it. Sharing so much over 33 years makes a memory of life alone fade to a dull dim.
