... br> This morning at 2:30, we got the vans ready and headed to O'hare for the first leg of our trip. We were gifted with a super smooth, efficient and fast check in at the airport. The staff at US Airways was so very helpful and courteous. We boarded our plane and enjoyed a smooth ride to Charlotte. Shannon had never been on a plane before ...

More to come later but I was shocked at the raw kale the kids harvested from Julie's garden garden and ate tonight! Of course they asked for some butter on it so that may be why but they are the whole thing! We're having an awesome time at the Murphy's! I'll update more soon about our ...

We missed Daytona when in Florida but still hope to catch a big race meet during our travels north.

... had to change terminals this flight.

Without going into all the details, we got the run around. Go from Terminal J to Terminal D. Then when we got there, they said no, we had to go to Terminal E. Finally after going through security which took about 45 minutes, we arrived to our terminal and found no restaurants besides a Pizza Hut to Go, and some place offering chips, sandwiches, salads and drinks to go. We opted for the salad. ...

    Nice location good hotel

    from

This hotel is the preferred hotel company of my business unit within the Wachovia Corporation.

    Great Hotel

    from

Very friendly, helpful staff. Room was large, clean and well equipped. Out back is a lake surrounded by retail stores and a number of restaurants. Only complaint would be that the cable channel selection was very limited. I would stay at this hotel again in a minute when in the charlotte area.

    Would Stay Again!

    from

Nice Hotel! Clean and Comfy Bed! Only one suggestion, perhaps the TV should be in front of the bed, not at the side. But overall, great, would stay again.

    Great Restraunts

    from

My wife had a conference at the Hilton. My 6 month old son and I decided to tag along. We were pleasantly surprised. The Hotel has several restaurants within walking distance such as Lava, Billy's Seafood, Cheddars, and many other restaurants. There is an outlet mall 10 min. drive away located off of I85 at exit #49" Concord Mills Mall ". The mall is on your left. It is indoors and has 100's of stores. There is a big Bass Pro Shop connected to the mall. The Hotel is very clean. The rooms are big. They do not have refrigerators in the rooms. The staff are very polite. You can take walks around the lake that is behind the Hotel. They even have a big outdoor play area for children. The Hotel is about 25 min. from the airport.

    Excellent location - okay hotel

    from

The location of this hotel is great - the boardwalk provides the opportunity to walk to shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is mediocre at best. The bed in our room was so worn out that my husband woke up with back pain and the shower curtain smelled of mildew after a couple of minutes in the shower. We had also reserved a lake view room, but got a view of the parking lot.

Overall, a great location, the staff was nice enough, but the rooms need to be updated.

    Very Nice Hotel!!!

    from

We only stayed one night and recieved a fantastic rate via Priceline. Checking in was quick and easy. The staff was very friendly and eager to help. They offered us either a king or 2 doubles. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. Fluffy blankets and four feather pillows on each bed. The only thing that I would have liked would have been a refridg/ microwave...but no big deal. There was plenty of parking. We did not use their restaurant but their selection looked good. I would definatly recommend this hotel.

    EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE

    from

Spend the extra and stay on the executive floor with FREE easy to use wireless, bath robe and bottled water along with the club lounge open from 6:30am - 10:00pm. Nice continental breakfast from 6:30am - 9:00am, Hor d'oeuvres from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and from 8:00pm - 10:00pm cookies. The room was a nice size and the bed was very comfortable, had clean crisp white bedding and lots of big pillows. The towels were all crisp white and the bath towels oversized. A great desk area to work with good lighting and well placed desk top plugs for laptop power cords etc. This is a really nice Hilton and a great value.

    Enjoyed my stay

    from

Stayed here 2 nights on a leisure trip. Due to a late flight, did not end up arriving until well after midnight. However I was greeted and told I'd already been checked in and my key was ready...the entire transaction took less than 30 seconds, a nice surprise. Room was clean and adequate. Staff was agreeable. Nothing outstanding about this place, but nothing horrible either...in general a pleasant place to stay. My only complaint would be the quality of the room service food was below average considering the prices and the adjective-laden prose describing it on the menu.

    Weather was warm--Hotel staff cold!

    from

So-So service: Got such a great deal on priceline--hate to complain--however . . . just a few items that would have made out stay perfect. Phoned ahead to ask to verify room type but was told that we must wait until we arrived to request bed type and non-smoking--not much left after midnight! Asked housekeeping for extra pillows and towels--never arrived. Called front desk to add credit card so we could order room service--they said they couldn't take info over the phone. Funny though they could take credit card info over the phone if it is to hold a reservation!!! Rooms were small for this grade of hotel. Not many toilety items--no lotion, etc--only shampoo and soap. Good location and plenty of parking.

    Excellent Hotel

    from

We just spent 3 nights at this hotel over the Memorial weekend. Check in was very fast and the rooms were very nice. They were large and very clean. The beds were comfortable and we had extra pillows. We did not eat in the dining room so I don't know anything about it. There are several places to eat near the hotel.
