          Great stay at the Hilton

We loved the Hilton, a first class hotel delivers a first class stay. From the comfortable beds, to the prime location in Berlin, close to lots of sites, Checkpoint Charlie, two beautiful churches, the music theatre across the street directly in front of the main entrance to the hotel, walk-able to Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag.

To top it off with a restaurant serving a very fine breakfast with terrific views of the church.

Would I stay again, yes indeed

This hotel was by far the best hotel we have stayed in during our Eastern Europe tour.

The hotel is very modern and very well maintained. This includes the common areas as well as the rooms.

As is typical for Hilton Hotels, the beds and bedding were comfortable. The room was a decent size and made us feel at home. The air conditioning actually worked in this hotel, which was not the case in other hotels we have stayed in.

We ate two breakfasts and found them to be very good with plenty of selection.

The staff were very friendly and provided us with advice on places to see, when were we out sightseeing.

The location is fantastic, and provides a great central location for walking to see a number of the tourist spots.

The Berlin Hilton was under construction in the lobby area when we were there. Nevertheless, the check-in process went smoothly, and the service was quick and professional. The room was a good size for a European hotel--comfortable and clean. This hotel is a good choice for anyone who wants a comfortable stay with modern conveniences.

In the morning, we were off to Berlin, both a end point and a new start for us. Berlin is the final end of our tour with Gate 1 Travel after two more nights in the admittedly luxurious Hilton Hotel and a start with us ending off to an AirBnB for five nights and the new start to our journey on our own. With mixed feelings I think we are pretty happy …

European Travels: Berlin-Germany Day 1 Arrival

A travel blog entry by extremetraveler

Saturday November, 15th, 2008. I arrived in Berlin and carried on to take the bus to the train station, then took the train to a nearby location to the Hostel, and then arrived at the Hostel and met up with my friends. What a journey. I finally arrived at the Hostel, 24 hours later. Luckily, my friends all went out and partied hard that night an...
